What if I can’t afford an architect?

When renovating it is critical to get the design right from the beginning.

You’ll:

- Avoid disappointment

- Save money on unnecessary expenses and changes

- Be able to budget more effectively

- Utilise sales

And most importantly:

- End up with a home that you love and suits you and your needs!

So how do you do that?

If you find it hard to imagine your property as anything other than it is right now, you’ll probably need some help developing that perfect plan. You can’t see what you don’t see. And that’s okay, aces in their places, right?

One thing you could do is enlist the professional help of an architect. And if you want that jaw-dropping transformation that resembles something off Grand Designs then definitely start there. Architects are the top professionals in their field for a reason. They are backed up by years of study, take care of everything and produce incredible works of art!

But I think you’ll agree with me when I say that the majority of people looking to tackle a renovation just want something that works for them, looks great and is livable and practical. And they probably don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on fancy plans that are often budget-blowing and form over function anyway…

So what other choice do you have?

This is a question we realised people ask a lot! We have had many, many conversations about wasted money in the design process of new builds and renovations. People tens of thousands of dollars in debt before their average family home is even out of the ground, or that dated tile plucked off the wall. And to be honest it makes us a little mad.

Good design shouldn’t cost the earth. It shouldn’t be out of reach for your average person with an average wage.

So we decided to do something about it. And that’s how The Reno Life was born.

We use our decade of experience building, renovating and helping others solve their design problems. And we’ve chosen to do it at a price point that’s attainable for everyone. We’re not architects, but we’ve proven over and again with our own projects that you don’t have to be to have good vision and see potential in a home.

I can’t compare what we do to any existing company out there because we believe we’re filling a gap in the market. A gap for affordable and practical advice that will add value to your home, utilise its space and save you thousands with the draftsman (if you in fact need to go through council!)

If you’re thinking about renovating and could benefit from a master concept plan that works within your budget please get in touch, we’d love to help.
